Laptops are small devices or portable computers with numerical keyboards. In these days laptop and computer are made based on their work & capability. Differ laptops are available for gaming, office work, personal use, coding, graphic designing, and many more based on their performance and core speed. While talking about the laptop for the IT and engineering students they must at least have the following specification.

In the field of IT and engineering computer are mainly used for the following purpose: –

  • Coding
  • Designing UX/UI
  • Graphic Designing
  • AutoCAD/ Autodesk

Coding and Designing UX/UI

For coding, you can use the laptop with Intel i3 or Ryzen 3 processer. It is slower and more time-consuming. Therefore, it would be better if you use the laptop not less than Intel i5 or Ryzen 5 processer. You can work smoothly and helps to save time. If you are wondering about the generation, we would prefer you to use the laptops of 10th and 11th generation.

Graphic Designing

For graphic design, computers with graphic card is compulsory. There are mainly two types of graphic memory Integrated and dedicated graphic memory. Integrated graphic memory is GPU built in processor. Integrated graphic doesn’t use separated memory bank for graphic/ video. Dedicated graphic memory is a fully separated processor from the CPU and has its own dedicated memory.

Graphic designing of photo you should at least have the normal graphic up to 2 GB. For the video editing 4 GB graphics with 16 RAM is compulsory. And for animation more 4 GB graphic memory along with 32 GB of RAM is needed.

AutoCAD/ Autodesk

Photo editing in the AutoCAD or Autodesk at least 2 GB of graphic memory with 8 GB of RAM is necessary. Speaking about video editing, 4 GB of the graphic memory with 16 is minimum requirement.
